Chocolate-Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie

I layer my liquids and powders on the bottom of the blender, then ice on top, because it helps everything blend evenly without the ice just spinning around while the peanut butter sits stuck to the sides. A quick blend on smoothie setting gives you that perfectly thick consistency without turning it into icy soup.

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie

Yield: 2 peoplePrep: 5mCook: 2mTotal: 7m

Gather

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder I have linked the protein powder below I currently use
  • 2 Tablespoons Hershey's cocoa powder
  • 1 Tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 1 Banana
  • 2 Tablespoons peanut butter or nut butter of choice
  • 2 teaspoons honey or other sweetener *you can even leave this out*
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened plain greek yogurt
  • 3 cups Ice more for thicker texture, less for thin smoothie

Let’s cook

Steps

  1. Place all of the ingredients in the blender in the order listed. It is important for the liquid, spreads, and powders to be below the ice. Blend until smooth consistency you desire. I use the smoothie setting on my Vitamix blender. I will link the one I love below. Pour smoothie in a large glass and drink with a wide glass straw for a better experience! ENJOY! (:
