Privacy Policy

Kitchen Happy (this website at kitchenhappy.club) is run by Haley Herridge. When this page says “we,” that is who we mean. You can reach us anytime at hello@kitchenhappy.club.

• Your account. Your email address, which we use to sign you in with a one-time code. There is no password to store.
• Your profile. Anything you choose to add, like a display name, a photo, your cooking persona from the welcome quiz, and your preferences.
• Your cooking activity. The recipes you tap “I Made It” on, any photos or notes you share, the hearts you give, and the skills you build along the way.
• Basic technical information. The standard details your browser sends (like your IP address and device type) and the essential cookies that keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

To run your account and sign you in, to show your kitchen journey and the community posts you choose to share, to keep the site working and secure, and to reply when you contact us. That is the whole list.

Your email address is never shown publicly. Things you choose to share, like a photo or note on a recipe’s wall, a post in the Kitchen feed, or a skill win you opt to share, are visible to others alongside your display name and photo. If you would rather keep something private, simply do not share it, or remove it later.

We use a small set of trusted providers to run the site, and we share only what each one needs to do its job:

• Supabase, for our database and sign-in.
• Cloudinary, for hosting photos.
• Netlify, for hosting the website.
• Resend, for sending your sign-in code emails.
• Anthropic, an AI provider, which helps Haley draft recipe write-ups from her own social captions. We do not send your personal information to it.

These providers are based in the United States, so your information is stored in the U.S.

We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards to keep your information secure, including passwordless sign-in, which means there is no password for us to store or for anyone to steal. No system is ever perfectly secure, but if a breach were to affect your information, we would notify the members involved without undue delay.

We use only essential cookies, the kind that keep you signed in and the site functioning. We do not use advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.

You are in control of your information. You can edit your profile anytime on your account page, and you can delete your account there as well, which removes your profile and the content tied to it from the site. If you would like a copy of your data, or help with anything, email hello@kitchenhappy.club. When you email us to access or delete your data, we will first confirm the request really comes from you, which is easy here since we can verify it through your sign-in email. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your information, and we are glad to honor them.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and your posts from the site.

Kitchen Happy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top. For any significant change, we will give you a heads-up by email or a clear notice on the site, not just a quiet edit.
