Kitchen Happy

Terms of Service

Last updated June 19, 2026

These are the ground rules for using Kitchen Happy. We have kept them short and friendly. By using the site, you agree to them.

Who can use Kitchen Happy

You need to be at least 13 years old to have an account. If you are using the site, you are telling us you meet that age.

Your account

You sign in with your email and a one-time code, so there is no password to manage. Keep access to your email secure, since that is how your account is protected, and let us know if you ever think someone else has gotten in.

Membership and cost

Right now, joining and using Kitchen Happy is free. We may add optional paid features down the road. If we do, we will be clear about what costs what before you are ever charged, and the free parts you rely on will stay free.

What you share

When you post a photo, a note, or anything else to the community, you still own it. You grant Kitchen Happy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, and display your content in order to run the community features, like a recipe’s wall and the Kitchen feed. We will not use it for advertising and we will not sell it. Please only share things you have the right to share, and keep it kind: no harassment, spam, hate, or anything illegal. We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules, so the kitchen stays a warm place.

Copyright and takedowns

We respect copyright, and we ask members to as well. If you believe something on Kitchen Happy infringes a copyright you hold, email hello@kitchenhappy.club with a description of the work, a link to the material in question, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized. We will review and remove infringing content promptly, and we close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe.

Haley's recipes and writing

The recipes, photos, writing, and the Kitchen Happy name are Haley’s work and belong to her. You are welcome to cook from them and share them with friends for personal, non-commercial use. Please do not republish, resell, or scrape the content for your own site or product.

Cooking is at your own risk

Our recipes, tips, and skill guides are here to help and to inspire, and they are general information, not professional, medical, or nutritional advice. Please cook safely, use your own judgment, and check ingredients for anything you are allergic to. You are responsible for what happens in your own kitchen, and Kitchen Happy is not liable for the results of preparing or eating a dish.

Using the site fairly

Please do not try to break, overload, or misuse the site, scrape it, impersonate others, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do. You can delete your own account anytime from your account page.

If something you post causes a problem

You agree to cover Kitchen Happy and Haley Herridge for any third-party claims, losses, or costs that come from content you post, your use of the site, or your breach of these terms. In plain terms: if something you upload or do here creates a problem for someone else, that is on you, not us.

The site is provided as is

We work hard to keep Kitchen Happy running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kitchen Happy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the greater of one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

The fine print

A few standard points. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are the entire agreement between us about the site. If we do not enforce a rule right away, we have not given it up. And the parts that should naturally outlast your account, like content ownership, the disclaimers, the liability limits, and the indemnification above, continue to apply after your account is closed.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms now and then. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, in the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site or these terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas.
